

Brett currently serves as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Ottawa University in Surprise, where he leads all aspects of the NAIA Division I program. Under his leadership, the 2024 team achieved a Top-25 national ranking and maintained a national ranking for eight consecutive weeks.
In addition, he is an adjunct faculty member at Grand Canyon University, where he teaches coaching and exercise science and contributes to coaching curriculum development.
At the club level, Brett directs coaching education, staff development, and player pathway initiatives, helping ensure a consistent, player-centered development model across all teams. He also serves as head coach of Phoenix Heat FC’s Women’s Premier Soccer League team, where he oversees roster development, tactical implementation, and program promotion.
Prior to returning to the Valley, Brett held leadership roles across NCAA, NAIA, and professional environments, including Director of Girls Soccer and head women’s professional team coach at FC Arizona, Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Adams State University, and Director of Soccer at Bushnell University. Throughout his career, his programs have achieved national rankings, record-breaking seasons, and landmark victories over top-ranked opponents.
Brett holds a Master of Science in Recreation & Sport Science (Coaching Soccer) from Ohio University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Applied Psychology in Performance at Grand Canyon University, focusing on transformational leadership and athlete motivation.
He also holds a United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, an American Sports Education Certification and a U.S. Soccer National B License.
Passionate about leadership, education, and long-term athlete development, Brett is committed to helping coaches grow, players thrive, and the club continue building a positive soccer culture within the West Valley community.
